Miles Betley, AB'09, AB'09

After four years of studying English Language and Literature, as well as rowing for & volunteering at the UChicago Crew Club RSO, Mr. Betley graduated in 2009 with an honors degree in English literature and language and joined the Search Marketing team in the Digital Media Department of Draftfcb that same year. In 2010, Miles moved to Resolution Media, a global digital marketing agency where he managed search and social media investment strategies for multiple Omnicom and PHD clients. After moving over to Publicis in 2016, where he managed omnichannel media strategy for a retail client at Zenith, Miles now leads performance media investment at Connect@Publicls. He's stayed connected to the University through past service as the Novice Men's Crew coach and volunteering with Sigma Phi Epsilon. He spends his spare time cooking for his family and training for marathons & triathlons.

Christopher Costello, AB'92

Mr. Costello graduated from the College in 1992 with a degree in Psychology, and spent considerable campus time on the Major Activities Board, University Theater and refereeing intramural sports. His career after graduation started in primary marketing research and eventually landed in digital advertising analytics. His approach is not quite a data scientist, but more of a data plumber, and acting as a translation layer between data and business. Mr. Costello lives in Chicago with his wife and still plays drums in local bands.

Noemi Garcia, AB'13

Senior Strategist, We Are Unlimited

Ms. Garcia graduated from the College in 2013 with a degree in Political Science. As an undergraduate, she sought to establish a presence for students of color through organizations like MEChA and Lambda Theta Alpha. Since graduation, Ms. Garcia has applied her critical thinking and love for storytelling to build brand love and cultural relevance across numerous brands: American Family Insurance, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Barilla, and most recently, McDonald's. In August of 2017, Ms. Garcia was named to the Drum's inaugural 50 under 30 in the US: a list that celebrates women across the country who are putting themselves - and their cities - on the map for their creativity in the fast-changing advertising landscape. Outside of work, Ms. Garcia can be found running along LSD, cooking, or salsa dancing.

Prunil Patel, AB'11

Measurement & Attribution Lead, Google

Mr. Patel received a degree in Economics and SALC in 2011 from the College. He valued coursework with insight into human irrationality: "Psychology of Decision-Making," Anthropological-fieldwork in India, and biochemical-mapping in "Brain to Behavior." He served as social chairman of ADPhi, earned an undergraduate Trott Business Program certificate, and produced the 24th SASA show. Upon graduation, he joined global advertising agency, FCB, to champion quantitative creativity. Through its many forms (including viral videos "MeowMix EDM" & "Adult Stroller Test Ride") & ultimately as Director of Strategic Analytics, he helped brands understand & optimize the intersection of culture, media receptivity, and choice. After 7 years, he took a sabbatical, trekking the Himalayas, exploring the Galapagos, and traversing many beautiful National Parks. Recently, he's joined Google as a Measurement & Attribution Lead. His systems-thinking and client service skill-set accelerates how Finance companies create & use data to evolve profit-driving applications of marketing.
